CHERYL L. LAISURE

62, passed away at home peacefully on Dec. 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family, after a year long battle with cancer. Born in Garrett, IN, Cheryl most recently worked in the deli at Meijer. Cheryl was an avid local short track racing fan and mom to many. She was a Christmas fanatic and her love for helping others was endlesss.. This past summer Cheryl could be seen in turn 1 at Angola Motorsport Speedway with family and friends cheering on her son and granddaughter. Cheryl looked forward to Christmas every year when her and her husband and friends would play Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their elves and deliver gifts to those in need and to friends just to see a smile on everyones face. Cheryl was willing to help others in time of need, or just because.....

Cheryl and Dave fostered many children through the years and continued to keep their doors open to anyone who needed help.

Cheryl leaves behind her husband of thirty-six years, David; Jeremy Wallen (Renee), Stacie Wallen, Jeffrey Laisure, Cara Seiler(Chris Gilbert), Jeff Snyder, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren

Cheryl Loved her entire family unconditionally!

The family will receive friends Tues. Dec. 15, 2015 from 10am to 1pm at Pine Hills Church 4704 Carroll Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46818. The funeral service will follow immedately. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery, 6312 Old Trail Rd. Ft. Wayne. Memorial contributions may be to On Track Ministries, Visiting Nurse, or the family
