PETER M. KOWAL

passed away Wednesday July 13, 2016. Born on August 2, 1980, Pete was the beloved son of Suzanne Kowal of Fairhaven, MA and the late PeterM. Kowal II. He is loved and will be sorely missed by his sisters Tanya Sjahfiedin and Natashia Phelan of Massachusetts, and his brother, John Kowal of Ft. Wayne. To name all those impacted by his passing would require more space than this forum allows, but in Pete's world, if he associated with you, you were family.

Pete was an ephemeral soul, making friends and moving about wherever his spirit took him. He lived and worked throughout the US, residing in Virginia, Massachessets, Texas, and California before returning to Indiana. Pete took pleasure in art of nearly every form, from sketching to writing, cooking,  hatting, and tattooing, with each reflective of his unique style. But above all, world-bulding was his favorite pastime, an activity that gave full-flight to his imagination, and allowed his closest friends and family to take part. The family will receive friends 1pm on Saturday July 23 for a celebration honoring his life, and art at 1207 W. Washington Blvd. Ft. Wayne 46802. As an homage to Pete's love of bringing people together around food, we encourage everyone to bring a homemade dish to share.
