Carolyn Joan Hay
passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, October 8, 2021 at Lutheran Life Villages North in Fort Wayne, IN. Born December 30, 1934 to loving parents Helen and John Steigerwald.
Carolyn was soft spoken, kind and compassionate. She loved gardening, cooking and treasured time spent with family. Over the years she was employed by Tokheim, International Harvester and retired from Zollner Credit Union.
She, along with her beloved therapy dog, Annie, members of Three Rivers Visiting Dogs, enjoyed providing comfort and joy to hospital patients and nursing home residents.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Kevin, parents Helen and John Steigerwald and brothers Richard and John. She is survived by her children, Carol (Steven) Brucker, Karen (Thomas) Lang, Kim (David) Bailey and Kent (Christina) Hay, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one grand goddaughter.

A private service and memorial will be held for the family. Memorials honoring Carolyn can be made to Three Rivers Visiting Dogs Club, 8121 Purple Sage Cove, Fort Wayne, In 46804.
