Charles A. Lutz

On Sunday, November 29, 2020, Charles Albert Lutz, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away at the age of 91. He was born June 5, 1929 to Charles and Velma Lutz. He was a graduate of West Milton High School, BGSU (undergraduate degree in Education) and Purdue University (Masters in Education). He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He met the love of his life, Phyllis Newcomer, when he was teaching at Van Buren High School. They were married 59 years before she preceded him in death in 2018.

They raised three fantastic children, David (Brenda) Lutz of Austin, Texas; Julie (Dan) Moore of Gulfport, Florida; Cristi Ayers (Rex Andrews) of Defiance, Ohio. Charles had 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

He was a member of the Paulding Presbyterian Church and loved his church family. He is known for his love of God, his passion for music and his enthusiasm for the Purdue Boilermakers!

Due to Covid there will be only private family services held.
