James Ellis Reichard

age 71 passed away peacefully at home on Saturday October 19, 2019 in New Haven, In. 

Jim was born in Van Wert, OH on November 5, 1947 to parents Robert Elmer Reichard and Betty Jean Fry. 

Surviving are Jim’s wife Ronda, Son James Ellis Reichard Jr. (Tara), Daughter Patricia Ann Reichard-Bailer (Charles), Daughter Alana Marie Long-Schmidt (Fritz), Son Jason Ellis Reichard (Nicole). Siblings Terry Reichard(Trish), Theresa Reichard-Krizman(Joseph), Jeffrey Reichard(Meg). Jim has 12 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren with 2 great grandchildren on the way and several special nieces and nephews. 

Jim served as Sergeant in the US Marines from 1967 to 1972. He received Medals for National Defense, Service, Vietnam Campaign, and a Rifle Marksman Badge.  He was a machinist at WS Shamban/Trelleborg  and retired after 44 years. 

Jim had the sweetest heart with a contagious smile. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his Mother (who he adored), his family and friends. Our Father, Husband, Brother, Grandpa, and Uncle will forever be missed and in our hearts always. May he rest peacefully at last in eternal life. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Anthony Wayne First Church of God located at 6012 South Bend Drive, Fort Wayne, In. 46804 on Saturday October 26, 2019, 1pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11am - 1pm.
