Jerry Dyben
89, died on Thursday, October 14, 2021, with his family by his side.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Highland Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with a full military burial.
Jerry was born in Chicago, IL in 1932, to the parents of Frank and Gladys Dyben and joined the army to serve in the Korean War. After the war, he attended Tri-State University on the GI bill and received his BS in Electronics Engineering. He met the love of his life while in college and they married on October 26, 1957. They went on to have nine children.
Jerry was proceeded in death by his wife, Deann, his son, Terry, his grandson, Jason and an infant grandson, Jordan Heckley and an infant sister, Rita Dyben and daughter in law, Melissa Dyben.
He is survived by his siblings: brother, Jack (Fran) Dyben, sister, Mary (Dick) Gentes, brother, Richard Dyben, son, Gary (Jean) Dyben, son, Greg (Debi) Dyben, son, David Dyben, son, Scott (Sharon) Dyben, daughter, Sue (Todd) Heckley, daughter Diane (Joe) Gibson, son, Paul (Pam) Dyben, daughter, Joan Dyben and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
