Leon Edward Schwalm

at Age 70 was called home on Sunday February 24th at 9:40pm.

Early in his life Leon worked for McMahon Tire for over 20 years.  Later he worked for The City of Fort Wayne Parks and Rec. Dept. at the Community Center where he ultimately retired from.

He was a Master Jack of all Trades but he was an excellent mechanic. His passion by far was for Fishing and passing down his knowledge of it on to his family one generation at a time.

He is preceded in death by his wife Joan (Osterman) Schwalm, his parents Edward Eugene Schwalm and Francis Juanita (Maples) Schwalm, and 2 siblings Dale Eugene Schwalm and Sharon Ann (Schwalm) Adams.  He is survived by his 3 children Sabrina Lee Caston-Beam (Steven), James Edward Schwalm (Donielle), Christina Marie (Schwalm) Hoy (James), 2 siblings Diane (Schwalm) Darr, Brenda Garber-Routhier, 17 Grandchildren, and 22 Great-grandchildren.

Services and Arrangements are as follows:

There will be a viewing only as Leon has chosen to be cremated.  The viewing will be on Friday March 1st, 2019 from 4-7 pm at Tom Mungovan Funeral Home located at 2221 South Calhoun Street Fort Wayne Indiana 46802.
