Marie Pasley Smith

66, passed away peacefully in her home, December 10th, 2020.  Born in Grove City Pennsylvania, and later relocated to Battle Creek Michigan.  She was the daughter of late Lee Pasley and Late Marjorie (Gibson) Pasley. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She met Smitty, and instantly sparks flew.  They traveled with only the clothes on their backs, Sun on their faces and little money in their pocket. While holding hands, they experienced the world in their early 20’s, sleeping outside in the cold night air in one sleeping bag looking up at stars. Riding the Ferris wheel till the sun came up. All while Never knowing when they will get an actual bed to sleep in that night. But they didn’t care, it was the 70’s. As long as they had each other it was them against the world. Marriage was set on September 11th, 1976. And settled down in Fort Wayne Indiana to start a family.

They raised three Children, and also became known as the neighborhood mom. She was also a survivor of breast Cancer twice.  They spent 38 years together before Smitty passed on June 27 2012. She enjoyed her online games, Crafting, playing cards, puzzles, watching Hallmark movies, diamond painting, doing yard work, and playing on her tablet.  She also enjoyed traveling with family, collecting frogs, and sea shells.  She had hoped that one day she would find a beach that was covered in nothing but shells. Walking through a field of daisies, blackeyes susie’s and sunflowers would have been a joy. More so Daisies as those were her favorite.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (DeAnna) Smith, and Tammy (James) Smith Farley.  Three Grandchildren, Karleena (Trentin) Smith, Kayla Smith and Joshua Smith.  Her sisters Nancy Robinson, Patricia Michaud, Susan Pasley, and Diana Jewell. Her Brother, Norman Pasley also many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband Anthony ‘Smitty’ Smith, Her Son, Anthony Smith, her Mother, Marjorie Gibson Pasley, Her father Lee Pasley.
