Mary Laverne Gilbert, age 69 of Decatur, Indiana passed away Thursday May 13,2021, at Parkview Randallia.

She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 6, 1952, and lived with her adopted parents, Vernon and Josephine Jahn. She was a longtime member of Decatur Lighthouse Assembly of God. She was married to Jesse V. Gilbert on August 23, 1996 who preceded her in Death.

Surviving are her brother Rick Jahn of Kingsford, Michigan and her four sons: Jason D. Jahn (wife Naomi), Joshua S. Avery, Ryan M. Avery (wife Cassandra), Adam M. Avery (wife Lindsey), along with 8 grandchildren.

Mary’s wish was that there be no memorial or burial services.
