RAFAEL MAGANA

71, of Ft. Wayne, passed away Sunday Jan. 13, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cecilia; sons Rafael (Christine), Luis (Sonia), and Patrick (Elizabeth). Also surviving are his mother Maria Luz, sister Martha Payne, and beloved aunt Margarita Riggs; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was a graduate of Ysleta High School, and was a US Air Force veteran. Rafael was an avid gardener and took great pride in his beautiful flowers and plants.

"He fought a strong and courageous battle, finally unable to fight any more."

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday January 20 at the Tom Mungovan Funeral Home 2221 S. Calhoun St.. There will be a Rosary held at 4pm. A reception will follow at Renaissance Pointe YMCA at 6pm
